This is my car. It is a 1990 BMW 325is (e30 for short). It has some nice wheels and a big ass turbo. It also has big ass RPI brakes (300mm) and a carbon trunk lid that I made myself. Last summer it put down 240 wheel horsepower and 240 wheel torque. Then it popped the head gasket at Road America. It's been broken for a while...

This car runs a Megasquirt standalone ECU or DME if you're a BMW guy. I built the Megasquirt myself from a kit. I also used an adapter board to make it plug into my stock engine harness to maintain full BMW functionality. The Megasquirt allowed me to ditch BMW's super restrictive and failure-prone flapper door style air flow meter and utilize a MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor instead. This was necessary to properly control fuel and spark under boost conditions. With it I can tune absolutely every aspect of my engine's fuel and spark timing, run any set of hardware I want, and datalog everything from my laptop for further analysis.
